These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the OnTrain mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"), operated by CAG Productions, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using OnTrain, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
OnTrain is a train tracking and pickup coordination application for Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) and Metro-North Railroad commuters. The Service provides real-time train arrival information, trip coordination between riders and drivers, and related features including Live Activities, Dynamic Island, Apple Watch, and CarPlay support.
Train schedule and real-time data displayed in OnTrain is obtained from publicly available Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) data feeds and is redistributed through our own servers. We do not guarantee that this data is accurate, complete, or timely. Train schedules, delays, track assignments, and arrival times may differ from actual conditions.
You should not rely solely on OnTrain for critical transportation decisions. Always verify train information through official MTA sources when accuracy is essential.
OnTrain is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or licensed by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), Long Island Rail Road (LIRR), or Metro-North Railroad. LIRR, Metro-North, and MTA are trademarks of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose and in compliance with all applicable laws. You agree not to:
OnTrain allows two devices to pair for trip coordination. By pairing your device with another user's device, you consent to sharing your active trip information (train times, station, and delay status) with the paired device. Either user may unpair at any time through the Settings tab.
The Service may send push notifications related to your active trips, including train delays, track assignments, and arrival updates. You can disable notifications at any time through your device's system settings.
The OnTrain application, including its design, code, logos, and content, is owned by CAG Productions, LLC and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application for personal, non-commercial purposes.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CAG PRODUCTIONS, LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MISSED TRAINS, INCORRECT ARRIVAL TIMES, FAILED NOTIFICATIONS, OR ANY INCONVENIENCE CAUSED BY INACCURATE DATA.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO USE THE SERVICE (WHICH IS ZERO FOR FREE USERS).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CAG Productions, LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
